About the Olympiad

The Scholars Mathematics Olympiad (SMO) is designed to strengthen mathematical thinking by encouraging students to understand concepts, recognise patterns, solve problems and apply mathematical knowledge confidently.

The examination focuses on conceptual understanding rather than routine calculations, enabling students to develop logical reasoning, numerical ability and analytical skills that are essential for academic success and everyday decision-making.

Developed in accordance with the CBSE and ICSE curricula and suitably adapted for IB learners, the Olympiad offers students a meaningful opportunity to challenge themselves beyond regular classroom assessments.

Appropriate challenge at every class level

The difficulty is carefully designed according to the student's class, maintaining a suitable balance between conceptual understanding and application.
